The person making these big claims is the man behind MentorMe.co. Now, he makes this claim and says you can make this kind of dough working less than five hours a week. (100%). To be honest, I don’t believe him, but I will like to give him the benefit of the doubt, so let’s hear him out. He starts by saying, “the company I run is Mentor Me, and we guarantee you three (3) key results. First is training and repositioning to take on the scrum master role.”
Now, what is a scrub master? It’s a management-level role where you will be in charge of some software development teams. So, now the second thing is you will learn how to research and find companies who need scrub masters. The companies you will find need “scrub masters“ to take them to the next level. And finally, these guys will show you how to reach out to these companies so you can close them. “Did you know this is the exact method I used to land contracts to make 250K a year“ Then, they say it’s the same method our students use to get the same results too. Now, the cool thing about “MentorMe“ is they say they’ll stick with you and support you once you are on the job working these contracts. They want to ensure you succeed as a scrum master…it’s that simple!
Now, can you believe that these guys are guaranteeing their results 100%…this is a huge promise to make, so it’s already raising red flags! This guarantee states that if you don’t see any results in 30 days, the scrum master team will work with you as long as it takes until you do. But here’s the problem with this type of guarantee..you won’t get your money back, but you’ll be stuck in this vicious circle of NO results…lol (I don’t like it). So, now these guys are even harder into sales modem by providing some results their students are having…
First, we have Rajesh, who was working as a quality assurance analyst making $38K, to now making $95K as a scum master. The amazing thing is he was able to do this in 12 weeks. Next, you have another MentorMe student, James, a business analyst making $45K and now working as a scrum master making $110k. James was able to accomplish this in 8 weeks (mind-blowing). So, in MentorMe, you will have access to agile coaches who are the top 5% of professionals in the industry and scrum masters too. Some of these coaches and scrum masters are making $1 million per year. So, the role of these mentors is to support you as you go through the training, exercises, etc. You have mock interviews, in-house recruiters, ongoing alumni support, and resume assistance in training. These guys have promised to support you when you land a job, so you don’t fail when on the job. You can continue building your portfolio this way by completing the project.
